Discovery 2023 kept us GROUNDED
When praying for Discovery 2023, directors kept Colossians 2:6-7 in mind. It reads, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
Robert Farrington reminded that no matter how far we run, we can’t outrun God’s love. James Battersby showed us the importance of building the right dream team in faith. Burton Collis emphasized the importance of seeing ourselves first and foremost as children of God. Annabelle Kemp highlighted the power of forgiveness–forgiving others and forgiving ourselves. Madeline Kurz reminisced on her baptism and her growth in the church since then. God taught us so much during DW23!
